What is HDO plywood?
HDO stands for high-density overlay, a plywood panel with a hard, resin-saturated fibre sheet pressed onto the face under heat and pressure. That overlay gives the sheet a smooth, near-glossy surface, so the form releases cleanly from wet concrete and holds up to moisture and site wear better than a bare or lightly sealed face would. Concrete forming is its main job. Vinawood makes HDO in Vietnam for North American forming programmes; HDO Basic 2S, for example, pairs the overlay with an Acacia and Eucalyptus core bonded with exterior WBP glue.
What HDO grades and sizes does Vinawood offer?
Every Vinawood HDO grade is pressed on the 2440×1220 mm sheet (nominal 4×8 ft), the same footprint as a US form panel. Faces come one-side (1SF) or two-side (2S). The two-side grades are made at 15 mm or 18 mm (3/4 in), and the one-side grades at the same two thicknesses, with Basic 1SF at 12 mm and Standard HD 1SF also offered at 25 mm. Pick two-side faces when both sides of the panel will see concrete or the forms get flipped between pours, and one-side when only the casting face needs the overlay.
How many pours can an HDO form give?
Vinawood writes reuse as up to N per grade, never as a fixed pour count, because the release agent and the way cut edges are sealed decide how long a face lasts on site. HDO Basic 2S in 18 mm is rated up to 10. Ask for the grade data sheet with your quote so the reuse figure on the order matches the panel that ships.
What is the price of HDO plywood?
HDO plywood is quoted per sheet or per CBM, and the number moves with the grade, whether the overlay is on one face or both, the thickness, and how many sheets go in the order. Vinawood does not publish a list price, because a full container of HDO Premium 2S in 18 mm and a mixed load that includes Basic 1SF in 12 mm are priced as different orders. Send the grade, thickness, sheet count and destination port through the contact form and the sales team will come back with a FOB or CIF quote and the matching data sheet.
Where can I buy HDO plywood for concrete forms?
Most forming contractors buy HDO panels through a local formwork supplier or building-materials distributor, and Vinawood sits one step behind them as the Vietnamese manufacturer. Vinawood sells factory-direct by the container to distributors, importers and formwork companies, so a buyer running enough volume can order straight from the mill on the 2440×1220 mm (4×8 ft) sheet. For a single job, ask your usual distributor which HDO grade they stock; for container volume, request a quote with the grade and thickness you need.
