What is the difference between pressure treated and marine plywood?

Marine plywood is built with a void-free core and a weather-and-boil-proof (WBP) glue line to resist delamination under sustained water exposure. How long does pressure treated plywood last outdoors?
With the right retention rating for its position and reasonable maintenance, pressure treated plywood commonly lasts 20 to 30 years or more outdoors. Can you paint or stain pressure treated plywood?
Yes, but only once the panel is fully dry. Freshly treated plywood holds a lot of moisture from the treatment process and needs to dry before it will hold a finish. Test by sprinkling water on the surface; if it beads, the panel is still too wet. Once dry, use an exterior-grade primer with acrylic latex paint, or a penetrating stain rated for treated wood.
