Can I use diesel as a release agent?
No. Diesel stains the concrete, softens phenolic film overlays, creates environmental contamination, and fails most VOC rules. Use a commercial form oil or reactive release agent instead. The drum you “save” is nothing next to a ruined face and a remedial pour.
