What is filmivaneri in Finnish construction?
Filmivaneri is the Finnish word for film-faced plywood, and muottilevy means a formwork board, so the two usually describe the same panel from different angles. On Vinawood grades a phenolic film is pressed onto both faces, which gives a smooth surface that releases cleanly from cured concrete. The film protects the face, while the glue in the core sets the EN 636 class.
Can Vietnamese formwork plywood be used on Finnish sites?
Yes, as long as it carries CE marking under EN 13986 with a Declaration of Performance, which is how construction panels are accepted across the EU. We hold EN 13986 CE marking and supply the DoP for the grade and thickness you order. Our EN 636-2 grades suit humid conditions, and the EN 636-3 grades are made for exterior work with repeated wetting.
How do you ship formwork plywood to Finland?
We sell FOB Hai Phong as standard, and a delivered price to Helsinki, Kotka or another Finnish port can be quoted on request. The sea leg takes several weeks and usually involves transhipment, so ask for current sailing times with the quotation. Container sheet count, grade mix and payment terms are confirmed on the quote as well.
What glue class should I specify for Finnish formwork?
For walls, slabs and columns stored under cover between pours, EN 636-2 with MUF core glue is usually enough, and Form Basic or Form Extra cover that range. Winter work, infrastructure and anything that stays wet or freezes and thaws for long periods should be specified at EN 636-3. That Class 3 phenolic bond is what Pro Form and Pro Form Lite carry.
How does importing from Vietnam compare on cost with buying in Finland?
We don't publish savings figures, because the answer depends on grade, volume, freight at the time and how many pours your site gets from each sheet. The useful comparison is cost per pour, which is the sheet price divided by the reuses a site actually achieves. Ask for a quotation on your exact specification and port, then set it against your current supply on that basis.
How many pours does each Vinawood formwork grade give?
We rate Eco Form Plus at up to 8 pours, Form Basic at up to 10, Form Extra and Pro Form Lite at up to 15, and Pro Form at up to 20. These are ceilings rather than promises. How close a site gets to them depends on even release agent, sealed cut edges and dry, flat storage between pours.
