Choosing the right plywood depends on your specific project requirements. Our selector tool guides you through the key decision factors that professional buyers and engineers consider when specifying plywood panels.
Step 1: Application
Start by selecting your intended use — construction formwork, furniture, packaging, interior fit-out, or marine applications. Each application demands different performance characteristics such as water resistance, surface quality, and structural strength.
Step 2: Species & Grade
Wood species determines the panel's density, strength, and appearance. Common species include Acacia, Eucalyptus, Pine, and Birch. Face and back veneer grades (A, B, C, D) affect surface quality and suitability for visible or structural applications.
Step 3: Specifications
Glue type (WBP/MR/Melamine) determines moisture and weather resistance. Formaldehyde emission class (E0, E1, E2) matters for indoor air quality. Thickness, number of plies, and reuse count (for formwork) are critical engineering parameters.
Step 4: Compliance & Certification
Depending on your market, you may need FSC certification for sustainable sourcing, CE marking for European construction, CARB Phase 2 for US formaldehyde limits, or REACH compliance for EU chemical regulations. Our selector filters products by certification so you only see qualified options.
