Certifications & Compliance
Vinawood products meet international standards across forest management, product quality, formaldehyde emissions, and market-specific regulations. Full documentation is provided with every shipment.
Core Certifications
Featured
ISO9001
International standard for quality management systems (QMS). ISO 9001:2015 specifies requirements for organizations to consistently provide products that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Vinawood''s ISO 9001 certification covers the entire plywood manufacturing process from raw material sourcing through production, quality control, and delivery.

FSC
Chain-of-custody certification ensuring wood comes from responsibly managed forests. FSC is the most widely recognized forest certification worldwide and is required or preferred by buyers in the EU, North America, and many Asian markets.

CE
Mandatory conformity marking for products sold within the European Economic Area. For plywood used in construction, CE marking under EN 13986 / EN 636 declares performance characteristics including bonding quality, formaldehyde class, bending strength, and reaction to fire.
EPA TSCA VI
Federal US regulation under the Toxic Substances Control Act establishing formaldehyde emission limits for composite wood products. Aligns with CARB Phase 2 limits and requires third-party certification by EPA-recognized bodies (TPC). Mandatory for all hardwood plywood sold in the United States.

KS
Korean Industrial Standards for plywood and wood-based panels. KS certification covers bonding performance, formaldehyde emissions (SE0/E0/E1 classes), and dimensional tolerances. Required for plywood used in Korean construction projects.
EPD
Standardized (ISO 14025 / EN 15804) third-party verified document that reports the environmental impact of a product over its lifecycle. EPDs cover raw material extraction, manufacturing, transportation, use, and end-of-life. Increasingly required for green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, DGNB) and public procurement in Europe and North America.
Additional Standards & Regulations
These standards and regulatory frameworks apply to our products depending on the destination market and buyer requirements.
PEFC
International forest certification framework endorsing national certification schemes. PEFC chain-of-custody certifies that wood products originate from sustainably managed forests. Widely accepted alongside FSC in European and global markets.
UKCA
Post-Brexit UK equivalent of CE marking for construction products placed on the market in Great Britain. Covers the same performance declarations as CE under UK-adopted harmonised standards.
CARB P2
California Air Resources Board Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) Phase 2 for composite wood products. Sets formaldehyde emission limits for hardwood plywood at 0.05 ppm. Required for all composite wood products sold in California and effectively the US national standard.
JAS
Japanese government standard for plywood and structural panels. JAS certification covers bonding durability, bending performance, and formaldehyde emission class (F★★★★ = ≤0.3 mg/L). Required for structural plywood used in Japanese construction.
F★★★★
The highest (lowest emission) formaldehyde class under JAS, allowing ≤0.3 mg/L average and ≤0.4 mg/L maximum. F★★★★ rated plywood can be used without restriction in Japanese buildings. Vinawood plywood meets this top rating.
EUDR
EU regulation requiring operators and traders to conduct due diligence proving that commodities (including wood/timber) placed on the EU market are deforestation-free and legally produced. Replaces the older EU Timber Regulation (EUTR). Mandatory from December 2024 for large operators.
EUTR
EU regulation prohibiting placement of illegally harvested timber on the EU market. Requires operators to exercise due diligence on their supply chains. Being superseded by EUDR but still referenced in transitional frameworks.
FLEGT
EU action plan combating illegal logging through Voluntary Partnership Agreements (VPAs) with timber-producing countries. FLEGT-licensed timber is considered compliant with EUTR/EUDR due diligence requirements.
REACH
EU regulation addressing the production and use of chemical substances. For plywood, REACH compliance covers adhesives, coatings, and treatment chemicals, ensuring substances of very high concern (SVHC) are below thresholds. Relevant for all wood products entering the EU market.
UKTR
Post-Brexit UK equivalent of the EUTR, prohibiting placement of illegally harvested timber on the Great Britain market. Requires operators to exercise due diligence on timber and timber products entering the UK supply chain.
AS/NZS
Joint Australian and New Zealand standards framework for structural plywood (AS/NZS 2269) and formaldehyde emissions from wood-based panels (AS/NZS 4266). Required for plywood used in construction and fit-out in Australia and New Zealand.
ISPM 15
International standard for wood packaging material in international trade. Requires heat treatment or fumigation of solid wood packaging (pallets, crates, dunnage) to prevent spread of pests. Relevant for plywood shipment packaging.
BIS
Indian national standards body responsible for product certification. For plywood, BIS certification under IS 303 (marine plywood) and IS 710 (general purpose) verifies bonding strength, dimensional tolerances, moisture resistance, and formaldehyde emission levels. BIS mark is mandatory for plywood sold in India.
